Custom Astro A40 with HD555 drivers

These are Astro A40 headphones that I have painted a black with metallic orange highlights and charcoal pearl on the driver holder. I replaced the astro drivers with HD555 drivers, changed the cable termination to a lemo pushpull connector and rewired the right driver and mic wiring without any connection breaks using mogami w2929 wire. I eliminated the two pcb break points in the headband. Headphones are the Limited Edition version number is 084/500. these have only been worn for testing since the factory refurb on all limited edition headphones. personally i was never a big fan of these headphones.. but adding the 555 drivers and the custom paint job really changed my mind. these look and sound unreal.

Headphones are the hd555 frame with HD598 drivers. Lemo pushpull connectors for mic and detachable cable. Two- tone paint job, candy red and black, with a gloss urethane clearcoat. cable is terminated to a minixlr and short adapters are available for changing the termination to whatever you need.. be it 4 pole for a mixamp, 2×3.5 for pc or 1/4 and 3.5 or 2.5/ 4 pole adapter will be provided, other adapters i will make for an additional charge.

I am selling this beauty as I want to go with even more expensive headphones. It is working perfectly, the mic and the cable is detachable with Lemo push-pulls, the highest quality connectors available. The cable is an unsleeved 2m (6 foot) Mogami 2893 a 3.5 and 2.5 for the Turtlebeach DSS and the controller (Mic), of course I can sleeve it like on the pic with Vanilla sleeve if you like. I am selling this Mixamp that had an accident with some Nail-polisher and had to be repainted. The repaint is not done well. The device itself works perfectly the buttons and dials are not affected by the paint. All cables are there, the mic cable has been cut and re-soldered properly for testing purposes and works fine also. You can buy the cable again but there is no need. The USB cable is not the original one, it’s shorter but you can take any. If you can do a good paint job or you don’t care how it looks you cant get a Mixamp cheaper.

Selling my Tommyboy Beyer mod. I would say one of the best closed headphones available. It was used a couple of hours only as I have some other headsets also and was in cupboard most of the time. It works perfectly. Comes with a cable for the Mixamp or an Y-cable for DSS as you like. Tommy is known to use best material and do great work, the connectors are Lemo, the cable is Mogami. 190€ + free shipment inside EU. Payment Paypal or wire transfer.
